A completely unexpected argument about Billy Joel. I’ve read the Chuck Klosterman article, and while it was fun to read, I don’t care about Billy Joel either way, and I don’t understand why these people are so worked up.

Billy Joel is good.
Ok, really we should keep the argument at Rex’s site, but I’ll just say that it say something about the nature of whom Billy Joel appeals to that that is the only defense that gets mentioned.
Bill Joel blows. The official minstrel of Yuppie America for years, he has aged badly, and continues to appeal to, well, Alesh got it right. The word “fan” is appropriate.
